Hong Kong Police

Two girls died and four other young women were seriously injured in a traffic accident in Yuen Long last night.

At about 11.30pm, a 19-year-old woman was driving a car along Tai Shu Ha Road West towards Yuen Long. As she approached Nam Hang Tsuen, she reportedly lost control and rammed into a medium goods vehicle that was parked on the side of the road.

The driver and five passengers, aged 14 to 17, were sent to Pok Oi and Tuen Mun Hospitals. Two 14-year-old girls were certified dead at Pok Oi Hospital, at 12.11am and 12.25am.

The New Territories North special traffic investigation team is following up. Anyone who saw the accident is urged to call Police on 2675 3325.
