Adaptation of Laws Bill to be gazetted
*

The Adaptation of Laws Bill 2009 will be gazetted tomorrow and tabled in the Legislative Council on February 11.

The Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Bureau said the bill will amend four ordinances so they will also apply to the Central Government's three offices in Hong Kong - the Liaison Office, the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hong Kong Garrison of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

The four ordinances involved are The Legislative Council Commission Ordinance (Cap. 443), the Plant Varieties Protection Ordinance (Cap. 490), the Patents Ordinance (Cap. 514) and the Registered Designs Ordinance (Cap. 522).
