10 arrested for drink driving
*
Hong Kong Police

Ten drivers have been arrested for drink driving in a four-day blitz in Kowloon East ending at 5am today.

Forty-five enforcement checks were conducted with seven drivers given verbal warnings.

Police also conducted 45 visits to bars and restaurants, offering 80 free breath screenings for patrons and handing out more than 3,200 educational leaflets.

Drink driving is a major factor in serious road accidents and offenders are liable to a $25,000 fine, three years' jail and suspension from driving.
