Anti-domestic violence action enhanced

*

The Government takes a serious view of domestic violence cases, Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee says, adding Police have refined procedures for handling cases and strengthened frontline officers' investigation capabilities.

Mr Lee told the Sham Shui Po District Fight Crime Committee meeting today Police have also adopted a multi-disciplinary collaboration to deal with domestic violence, and enhanced communication with the Social Welfare Department on case referrals and district co-ordination to provide prompt assistance to affected families.

On youth drug abuse, Mr Lee said a high level inter-departmental task force is being led by Secretary for Justice. It will review current measures, spearhead cross-bureau and inter-departmental efforts and enhance collaboration among non-government organisations to identify areas of focus and enhancement.
