Inmates' handiwork on sale at fall fair

*
Correctional Services Department

Correctional Services Department Sports Association will hold its 55th Autumn Fair in Stanley on November 24, featuring 40 stalls selling arts and handicrafts, toys, rattan and wooden furniture made by prisoners; a marching band display, lion dance, training demonstration of guard dogs and a lucky draw.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the fair will bear the theme "Celebrate the 10th anniversary with love and care". All proceeds from the sales will go to charities, including prisoners' welfare services, which offers prisoners an opportunity to contribute to the community.

The fair will run from 11am to 5pm on the football field next to Stanley Prison. Admission is free. The venue is accessible by bus routes 6, 6X, 63, 73, 260 and 973 and green minibus routes 40 and 52.
