CE to open global prosecutors conference

*

Chief Executive Donald Tsang will open the International Association of Prosecutors' 12th Annual Conference & General Meeting at the Convention & Exhibition Centre on September 17.

 

Conference host Director of Public Prosecutions Grenville Cross and the association's president Francois Falletti will also speak at the ceremony.

 

Other guests include Secretary for Justice Wong Yan Lung, Police Commissioner Tang King-shing, Independent Commission Against Corruption Commissioner Timothy Tong, Customs & Excise Commissioner Richard Yuen, High Court Chief Judge Justice Ma, former Secretary for Justice Elsie Leung, Bar Association Chairman Rimsky Yuen, Asia Crime Prevention Foundation Chairman Minoru Shikita, Supreme People's Procuratorate International Judicial Co-operation Department Director General Ye Feng and Macau Prosecutor General Ho Chio Meng.

 

The event will run to September 20, with 450 attorneys general, ministers of justice, chief prosecutors and prosecutors from about 100 jurisdictions representing every region of the world.

 

The conference, with the theme Relations with Others: Accountability, Transparency & Independence will examine ways in which prosecutors relate to others in the community. Click here for details.
