*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has seized 200kg of pork of dubious origin in a joint operation with the Customs & Excise Department at Lok Ma Chau.

Officers intercepted a car at the checkpoint at 9am today and found the pork inside eight plastic bags without health certificates. Two men in the car are being questioned.

The department will closely monitor the situation and take stringent enforcement action against illegal meat imports to safeguard food safety and public health. Call 2868 0000 to report illegal meat imports.
