Marine Police have arrested two men for smuggling $6.4 million in contraband on Lantau.

Officers saw cargo being unloaded from three trucks to speedboats near Pak Mong about 6.30pm yesterday. They arrested the men, aged 30 and 32, but others taking part in the smuggling fled in a speedboat.

Officers found 294 boxes containing contraband computer disks and live tortoises on two of the trucks.

The suspects have been detained for questioning.
