33 arrested in illegal worker crackdown

Immigration Department

The Immigration Department has arrested 29 illegal workers and four employers in a two-day operation.

 

The operation concluded at 6pm today and saw officers raid 46 locations, including laundries, warehouses, factory buildings and restaurants.

 

The illegal workers were 21 men and eight women aged 19 to 59. A suspected counterfeit Hong Kong identity card was found on one of them.
