Senior dies in Boundary Street mishap

Police have arrested a light goods vehicle driver for dangerous driving causing death after his vehicle knocked down and killed an 89-year-old man on Boundary Street.

 

At about 4.45pm today, the 50-year-old light goods vehicle driver was driving eastbound along Boundary Street.The vehicle reportedly knocked down an 89-year-old man who was crossing the street near Ho Tung Road.

 

The elderly man was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead.

 

Kowloon West's traffic accident investigation team is following up. The light goods vehicle driver was released on bail pending further enquiries. People who have information on the accident should call 2773 5256.
