5 arrested for illegal photocopying

Customs officers have arrested five people and seized 210 photocopied books and four photocopiers worth $50,000.

 

Following complaints from copyright owners, the officers raided four photocopying shops in Sheung Shui, Fanling and Tsz Wan Shan yesterday and today.

 

A total of 210 photocopied publications, including university textbooks, past A-level examination papers and children's music books were seized.

 

Three men and two women, aged 44 to 50, were arrested. They were the shop owners or staff.
