Woman killed in Western District accident

A 59-year-old woman has died after reportedly being knocked down by a garbage truck in Western District.

 

About 4.30pm today, a 35-year-old man was driving the truck east on Shing Sai Road when it allegedly struck the woman at its junction with Sai Cheung Street North. She was certified dead at Queen Mary Hospital.

 

Police urge witnesses to call investigators on 3106 8848.
