13 arrested in anti-piracy blitz

Customs officers have arrested 13 people and seized more than 60,000 counterfeit products valued at over $500,000 in an anti-piracy operation in Sham Shui Po.

 

With the help of some trademark holders, officers raided 12 shops selling products featuring Japanese and American cartoon characters.

 

Over 60,000 counterfeit products including clothes, toys, stationary items and festive products were seized. Nine men and four women, aged 24 to 51, were arrested.

 

The operation continues.
