Counterfeit crackdown: A Customs officer shuts down a fake handbag and watch store in Mong Kok.

Customs have arrested nine people aged 20 to 61 after seizing 3,000 pieces of counterfeit goods and 7,000 pirated discs worth $451,000 in Yau Tsim Mong District.

 

The two-day operation saw Customs officers shut down three fake handbag and watch stores and two showrooms. A man and two women were detained.

 

Officers also raided nine shops on Temple Street and in the Sino Centre and arrested six men, seizing about 7,000 pirated movie discs.
