At about 8.50am, a 26-year-old man was driving a light goods vehicle at Po Hing Fong. He was reversing his vehicle when it reportedly knocked down the 36-year-old man who was holding his 11-month-old daughter in his arms as he was crossing the road.

Ambulancemen certified the baby dead at the scene. The father was sent to Queen Mary Hospital, where he was certified dead at 9.52am.

The van driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for enquiries.
