Reporting for duty: Justice Woo Kwok-hing meets the media on his first day as Commissioner of Interception of Communications & Surveillance.

New Commissioner of Interception of Communications & Surveillance Justice Woo Kwok-hing says three complaints have been lodged so far.

 

Assuming his new post today, Justice Woo said he will follow up the complaints with law-enforcement authorities.

 

He said details of the complaints cannot be disclosed, adding that as a fellow citizen, he appreciates the rights cherished by each person against illegal intrusion.

 

He said he will strike a balance between protecting the community's interests and people's privacy.
