Customs have seized illegally-imported meat and poultry worth $1,200 at Lok Ma Chau Control Point.

Officers cracked 12 cases of incoming passengers from Shenzhen importing fresh pork, chicken and duck without certificates in a four-day operation that start July 31.

The cases have been handed to the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department for follow-up action.

Between May and July, 85 similar cases were detected.
