Woman jailed for fake banknotes

A 27-year-old woman has been jailed two-and-a-half years by the District Court for possessing counterfeit banknotes and dangerous drugs.

 

Officers searched a unit on Waterloo Road in Kowloon City on August 6 last year. The woman was found with 49 counterfeit $500 banknotes and a small quantity of drugs, including 13 tablets of Zopiclone (part-one poison) and some paraphernalia suitable for the inhalation of drugs.

 

She woman was arrested and charged with custody of counterfeit notes and possession of drugs, a part-one poison and drug apparatus.

 

She pleaded guilty to the offences.
