Hong Kong Police

The High Court today jailed a 44-year-old man for six years for drug trafficking.

After investigations, Police Narcotics Bureau officers had stopped and searched the man in Sham Shui Po on September 14, 2005. Inside his waist bag they found 141 grams of a mixture containing 90.52 grams of heroin, with a street value of about $86,000.

The man was arrested and charged with one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug.

The man appeared in High Court on March 6 and pleaded guilty to the charge.
