Passenger flow: The Immigration Department expects 6.5 million people to travel in and out of Hong Kong during the Lunar New Year holiday.

A total of 380,000 outgoing passengers passed through land, sea and air control points on January 27, while incoming passengers amounted 220,000, the Immigration Department says.

 

About 43% of arrivals and 51% of outgoing passengers used Lo Wu control point.

 

Of the incoming passengers 94,703 arrived through Lo Wu, 55,976 through Lok Ma Chau and 34,141 through the airport.

 

Of the outgoing passengers 196,096 departed through Lo Wu and 70,833 through Lok Ma Chau and 59,541 through the airport.

 

The department expects about 6.5 million people to travel in and out of Hong Kong during the Lunar New Year holiday, up 9% on last year.
