Help sent to survivors of fatal crash

Immigration Department

Two Immigration officers have been deployed to help the surviving victims of a Shenzhen traffic accident that claimed three Hong Kong lives.

Eight other Hong Kong people were injured at 2.30am yesterday, when a lorry collided with their bus travelling from Fuzhou to Shenzhen in the Huilai section of Shenshan Highway. Two men and a woman died.

The four men and four women injured were sent to local hospitals - two in serious condition.

The department and the Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in Beijing have communicated with Mainland authorities to follow up the case. The department has also contacted most of the victims' family members in Hong Kong.
