Alert issued on bogus website
*
Monetary Authority logo

The Monetary Authority warns consumers to beware of suspected fraudulent website www.icsbc.com, which is operated by an alleged "International Chinese Switzerland Bank Corporation".

The bank claims it offers various banking services to people in Hong Kong. However, it is not authorised under the Banking Ordinance to carry on banking business or the business of taking deposits in Hong Kong, nor does it have the approval to establish a local representative office.

The case has been referred to Police for further investigation. Anyone who has used the sites, or provided personal information on them, should contact Police on 2860 5012. For a list of authorised institutions, click here. For enquiries, call 2878 8222.
