Court order sought on unlicensed cinema

Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has applied for a Court Prohibition Order on Newport Theatre in Mong Kok.

 

The theatre was found to have been operating without a Places of Public Entertainment (Cinema) licence on March 29, and it continues to operate despite the department's prosecution action and warning.

 

A hearing has been set for April 27 at Kowloon City Magistracy.
