Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sham Shui Po in which an 81-year-old woman was killed early this morning.

At about 6.20 am, a public light bus driven by a 51-year-old man reportedly knocked down the woman while reversing in the loading bay of the shopping mall in Fu Cheong Estate. The bus may have run over the woman.

She was rushed to Caritas Medical Centre where she was certified dead at 6.50am.

Kowloon West's Special Traffic Investigation Team is looking into the case.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2773 5220.
