Shotgun, ammunition seized in Sham Shui Po
*
Hong Kong Police

A 38-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman have been arrested for possession of firearms and ammunition after a shotgun and two rounds of ammunition were found in a car in Sham Shui Po Monday morning.

At about 10am, Sham Shui Po Police Station received a report by phone that there were firearms in a car outside Golden Centre on Yen Chow Street.

Officers stopped the car carrying the man and woman at 69 Un Chau Street and found a homemade shotgun loaded with a spent cartridge and two rounds of ammunition inside the boot.

The pair were apprehended for possession of firearms and ammunition without a licence.

Investigations by the Kowloon West Regional Crime Unit are continuing.
