Yuen Long crash claims elderly man

An 83-year-old man died after reportedly being knocked down by a goods vehicle in Yuen Long this afternoon.

 

Just after 12.40pm, the driver of the vehicle pulled out of a parking space on Kuk Ting Street, where he is said to have hit the man who was standing near the kerb.

 

The man was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.30pm.

 

The Special Investigation Team for Traffic, New Territories North is investigating. Anyone who might have seen the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact them on 2675 3325 or 2675 3385.
