*
Hong Kong Police

Police are appealing for information on a robbery aboard a minibus in Tai Po early today.

At about 1am the bus was heading for Sheung Shui from Sham Shui Po along Tai Po Road with 15 passengers.

Near the Chinese University, three of the passengers threatened the others with knives and a pistol-like object. They declared a robbery and ordered the passengers to surrender their valuables. Property amounting to over $26,600 was taken.

The robbers alighted at the junction of Kwong Fuk Road and Nam Wan Road and fled in a Kowloon taxi.

The culprits were aged between 30 and 40. One was holding a pistol-like object and was wearing a black jacket. Another, 175cm in height, wearing a black jacket, was armed with a 30cm-long knife. The third, in a grey jacket and blue jeans, was armed with a knife 15cm long.

Police urge any taxi driver who may have picked up the culprits or witnessed the case, as well as anyone who may have any information to offer, to call 2666 4431 or 7907 6982.
