HK to attend regional anti-graft conference
*
ICAC

Director of Administration Andrew Wong will lead a delegation to attend the 4th Steering Group Meeting and the 4th Regional Conference on the Anti-Corruption Action Plan for Asia-Pacific in Kuala Lumpur, December 1 to 5.

It will report on the implementation of administrative, legislative and institutional measures in Hong Kong.

Mr Wong and ICAC Commissioner Raymond Wong will participate in a round-table discussion during the Steering Group Meeting on December 1 and 2.

At the Regional Conference on December 3, ICAC officers will speak on the Government's anti-corruption work and give a presentation on managing conflicts of interest in the public sector.

The Action Plan is a joint programme launched by the Asian Development Bank and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation & Development to help the region's governments formulate and implement anti-corruption strategies.

This is the first Steering Group Meeting and Regional Conference since Hong Kong endorsed the Action Plan in April.
