Trio charged with counterfeit coins offences

Police today charged three men, aged 52-55, with counterfeit coins offences.

 

A 52-year-old man was charged with having custody of counterfeit coins, passing counterfeit coins and conspiracy to counterfeiting coins. A 55-year-old man was charged with passing counterfeit coins and having custody of counterfeiting materials and implements.

 

Another 55-year-old man was charged with having custody of counterfeit coins and passing counterfeit coins.

 

They will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts on December 8.

 

The trio were among the 14 people arrested on December 4 in Tsuen Wan where a fake $10 coin factory was smashed.

 

The remaining 11 people were released on bail ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. They were required to report back on December 28.
