Traffic accident

Woman dies in Sheung Shui crash

A 71-year-old woman was killed in Sheung Shui this morning after she was reportedly knocked down by a truck.

 

The accident happened just before 7.30am. The vehicle was travelling along On Fuk Street and making a right turn onto Lok Yip Road when it reportedlly struck the woman. She was pulling a wooden trolley along Lok Yip Road at the time.

 

She was certified dead at the scene at 7.43am.

 

The New Territories North Traffic Division's Special Investigation Team is looking into the accident. Anyone who have witnessed the accident is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2677 6299.
