Anti-vice swoop nets 233 women
*
Hong Kong Police

Police and immigration officers arrested 233 women in an anti-vice operation in Kowloon West that ended early this morning.

Police officers from the Kowloon West Region and Immigration Department officers started the operation at about 5.30am yesterday and raided 52 locations.

Among the arrested women, 223 were two-way permit holders, three Chinese Passport holders and four Thais. They were arrested for breach of condition of stay. The other three Chinese women were illegal immigrants.

They will be handed over to the Immigration Department for follow-up action.
