12 compact fluorescent lamps banned

Electrical & Mechanical Services Department

The Electrical & Mechanical Services Department has banned 12 models of compact fluorescent lamps from Starwise Industrial and Starwise Enterprise.

 

The measured average lives of these models is less than their rated average lives. The two companies offer free replacement schemes for the 12 models.

 

They are SG20W-27A/E27, SG20W-27B/B22, SG20W-65A/E27, SG20W-65B/B22, SG15W-65A/E27, SG15W-65B/B22, SG20W-28A/E27, SG20W-28B/B22, SG20W-64A/E27, SG20W-64B/B22, SG15W-64A/E27 and SG15W-64B/B22.
