Industrial building conversion backed
*

The Land & Development Advisory Committee has supported the proposed conversion of a Yau Tong industrial building for hotel and commercial use.

The proposal, submitted by Ever Sun International Holdings, will convert Wing Shan Industrial Building to feature exposition space and a gallery, hotel and catering facilities, shops, and storage, packaging and delivery services. It will also provide a waterfront promenade along Yau Tong Bay.

The proposal is subject to Town Planning Board approval.

At today's meeting the committee also backed the relocation of Kowloon City Baptist Church from Argyle Street to a new building on Tung Lei Road, Kowloon City.

The project will provide space for the church to meet the growing demand for religious and social services in Kowloon City.
