280 car number plates to be auctioned

Transport Department

The Transport Department will auction 280 ordinary and special vehicle registration marks August 31. The opening price is $1,000 each.

 

Applicants who have paid a deposit of $1,000 to reserve a mark must take part in the bidding, or it may be sold to another bidder. Click here to check the marks put up for auction.

 

Buyers must pay by cheque and complete the Memorandum of Sale of Registration Mark immediately after the bidding. Subsequent changes of the particulars are not allowed.

 

The marks can only be assigned a motor vehicle registered in the buyer's name. Special marks are non-transferable. For more details click here.
