The Transport & Housing Bureau has gazetted infrastructure works serving the future public housing sites and government offices at Kai Tak Airport's north apron area.
The works include:
* realigning Concorde Road and constructing a roundabout;
* constructing two kilometres of roads with interchange works;
* extending and widening Kai Wah Street carriageway and footpath;
* constructing a 40-metre subway extension connecting the existing subway under San Po Kong Interchange and the future Government Offices;
* constructing a 170-metre footbridge connecting the future Government Offices and a future development at San Po Kong;
* constructing an 85-metre footbridge connecting Eastern Road and Rhythm Garden;
* carrying out drainage, water, utility and landscaping works.
Some sections of existing carriageways, footpaths, ramps and staircase will be temporarily or permanently closed and demolished. The works will start in July 2009 and take about 48 months to complete.
Anyone who objects to the proposed works should write to the Secretary for Transport & Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, by October 28.
