Number plate auction set for Nov 17
*
Transport Department

The next auction of Personalised Vehicle Registration Marks will be held November 17 at the Convention & Exhibition Centre. A total of 242 approved marks will be auctioned.

The reserve price for each is $5,000. Applicants who have paid a deposit of $5,000 should bid, otherwise the mark may be sold to another bidder.

Purchasers must make payment of the purchase price by crossed cheque and complete the Memorandum of Sale immediately after the bidding of the mark concerned. No subsequent alteration of the particulars in the memorandum will be permitted.

Upon completion of the transaction, a receipt and a Certificate of Allocation will be issued. The certificate proves ownership of the mark.

Potential buyers of vehicles bearing a mark should check the certificate of allocation with the sellers and pay attention to the details. For transfer of vehicle ownership, the certificate together with other required documents should be produced to the department for processing.
