Flat sales rise 19.3%

Land Registry

The Land Registry received 13,090 sale and purchase agreements for all types of building units in May, up 19.3% on April, and 40.3% on May last year.

 

The total consideration of these agreements was $44.9 billion, up 3.1% on April and 35.3% on May 2006.

 

About 11,110 were sale and purchase agreements for residential units, up 16.6% on April and 63.4% year on year.

 

The total consideration of these agreements was $38.2 billion, down 3.2% on November, and 109.6% when compared with the same month in 2005.
