The Transport Department will accept applications for the third round of the Personalised Vehicle Registration Marks Scheme from March 5.

Personalised number plates will be allocated by auction. Completed forms should reach the department by April 16. If there are more than 1,500 applicants, those to be considered will be selected by lot.

Application forms and guidance notes can be downloaded from the department's website from March 5 and are available at its Licensing Offices as well as the Home Affairs Department's Public Enquiry Service Centres.

Each applicant can submit only one application in each exercise. If an applicant submits more than one, none of his or her applications will be processed.
