October sees $29.9b in flat transactions

Land Registry

October saw 8,554 sale and purchase agreements for residential units, with the total consideration up 12.5% over a year earlier to $29.9 billion, the Land Registry says.

 

It received 9,861 sale and purchase agreements for all types of building units for registration last month, up 13.7% from September but down 9.7% over a year earlier.

 

Using a 12-month moving average, the figure represented a 0.8% dip on September but a 14.2% surge on October last year.

 

The total consideration of these agreements was $35.8 billion, up 52% from September and 4.6% over a year earlier.

 

Among these agreements, 8,554 involved residential units, up 20.5% on September but down 2.9% on a year earlier. The total consideration was $29.9 billion, up 66.8% on September and 12.5% on October last year.
