Scientists invited to vie for top awards
*
Information Technology Commission

Hong Kong scientists with Chinese nationality who have attained significant achievements are invited to submit entries for the 2006 State Technological Invention and the State Scientific & Technological Progress Awards.

The two award categories are under the State Science & Technology Awards initiated by the State Council, the Innovation & Technology Commission says.

Nominated entries for the 2005 awards are being assessed by National Office of Science & Technology Awards and the results will be announced towards the end of the year.

Entries for the 2006 awards will close on December 24. A judging panel comprising experts from relevant fields will consider the entries received.
