Lok Ma Chau extention to open
*
Transport Department

Four additional kiosks at Lok Ma Chau's southbound checkpoint will open to private cars from September 8.

The Transport Department will implement the measure from 7am to 10pm daily to cope with increasing cross-boundary traffic. Outside this period, the existing kiosk arrangements will be maintained.

The new kiosks are designed to allow one-stop immigration and customs clearance, improving cross-boundary traffic and efficiency.

Traffic signs and road markings will be erected to direct drivers to the new kiosks. Leaflets will also be distributed at the checkpoint.

Four similar kiosks opened northbound last October, and have improved traffic flow.
