William Lam to chair sustainable transport forum
*

Polytechnic University Chair Professor in Civil & Transportation Engineering William Lam will chair an expert panel forum on sustainable transport planning and the Central-Wan Chai Bypass to be held September 3.

 

The Harbourfront Enhancement Committee's sub-committee on the Wan Chai Development Phase II Review announced today the list of panel members.

 

The panel members are:

* Imperial College London Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering Chair Professor in Transport Operations Professor Michael Bell;

* HK University School of Economics & Finance Associate Professor Timothy Hau;

* Polytechnic University Department of Civil & Structural Engineering Associate Professor Hung Wing-tat;

* Ove Arup & Partner Hong Kong Director Wilfred Lau;

* University of Science & Technology Department of Civil Engineering Associate Professor Lo Hong-kam;

* HK Institute of Planners Vice President Pong Yuen-yee;

* HK University Department of Geography Associate Professor James Wang; and

* HK University Department of Civil Engineering Associate Professor Wong Sze-chun.

 

August 26 deadline for views submission

People can submit views to the sub-committee by August 26, in writing, to 13/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point; by email to bpchan@cedd.gov.hk, or by fax to 2576 9792. Enquiries can be made on 2231 4408.

 

The forum will be held at the Convention & Exhibition Centre.
