Senior Counsel Teresa Cheng will assume chairmanship of the Transport Advisory Committee from October 1, replacing Jeffrey Lam who has resigned.
Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works Dr Sarah Liao is confident the committee will continue to tender valuable and impartial advice to the Government under Ms Cheng's leadership.
Dr Liao thanked Mr Lam for his contribution to the committee over the past seven years.
The committee is a non-statutory body which advises the Chief Executive in Council on transport policy and issues.
