Pop stars from around the region will perform with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra to close the Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games on December 13.
The public is invited to join the two-hour party at the Hong Kong Coliseum from 8pm, to say farewell to the athletes in the finale of the biggest East Asian Games yet held.
The singers include Korean Chae Yeon, Japan's Kousuke Atari, Richie Jen from Chinese Taipei, the Mainland's Dadawa and Hong Kong's own Eason Chan, who will sing a unique international rendition of the Hong Kong EAG theme song You Are The Legend to climax the games, the biggest international multi-sports event held in Hong Kong.
In keeping with closing ceremony tradition, Hong Kong will pass the EAG baton to the Mainland city of Tianjin which will host the next games in 2013. As well as receiving the EAG flag, Tianjin will put on a display to highlight the city's attractions and give the audience a tantalising taste of what to expect at the games in four years' time.
Online bookings for the closing ceremony can be made here. For full details, including discount schemes, please visit the official EAG website.
