The Centre for Health Protection today confirmed an imported case of Legionnaires' disease involving a 40-year-old man who is critically ill.
He has come down with a fever, headache, vomiting and diarrhoea since October 2 and was transferred to a private hospital on Hong Kong Island yesterday.
He was in Beijing during the incubation period.
This is the 31st case of Legionnaires' disease this year. There were 13 last year.
