No fun: Parents should not to let children play with Hernidex face paint which has barium levels far exceeding the safety limit.
*

The Customs & Excise Department advises parents not to let children play with Hernidex face paint which has barium levels far exceeding the safety limit.

The paints pose a poisoning hazard to children.

About 1,500 sets have been seized from a supplier-importer and a retail chain.

Notices have been served to ban the supply of the paints and prosecution action is being considered.

The paints were one of 25 samples of Halloween toys taken by the department this month for safety tests.

Call 2545 6182 to report unsafe toys and children's products.
