Woman arraigned for poultry keeping

Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department

A woman from Chuk Yuen Tsuen in San Tin will be prosecuted for illegally keeping poultry, the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department said today.

 

Department officers found she had 30 live chickens yesterday. The birds were disposed of after test samples were taken.

 

Unauthorised keeping of poultry, including chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons and quails, warrants a $100,000 fine.

 

To report illegal keeping of poultry call 1823.
