Culture kick-off: Chief Secretary for Administration Henry Tang speaks at the West Kowloon Cultural District Stage 1 Public Engagement Exercise launch ceremony.
*

Chief Secretary for Administration Henry Tang has urged the community to actively give their views on the development of West Kowloon Cultural District to make it a vibrant and diversified art and culture icon.

Launching the Stage 1 Public Engagement Exercise today Mr Tang said there will be more than 50 engagement activities in the next three months with 1,700 groups participating.

He appealed to all stakeholders, including arts groups and lovers as well as planners, to give their feedback, adding the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is open to all views.

Three public forums will be held October 25, November 8 and December 6, while a forum for youth will be staged December 20. A number of focus group meetings organised for stakeholder groups will also be open to the public. For details click here or call 2501 7920.

The opinions received will be taken into account in the planning and design process of the district.
