A 60-year-old man who died October 6 at Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital has been confirmed to have been infected with human swine flu, the Hospital Authority says.
He was admitted to the isolation ward with pneumonia that day. He had terminal lung cancer and his condition was serious upon admission, requiring oxygen therapy and antibiotics. He worsened further and finally succumbed at 9.58pm.
Meanwhile, a 13-month-old baby boy with swine flu in Princess Margaret Hospital is in critical condition.
