A full house of 1,500 spectators turned out to see Ho Sin-fai win the annual bun-scrambling competition at the Cheung Chau Pak Tai Temple Playground soccer pitch early this morning.

First runner-up was Choi Kwok-tung and second runner-up was Heung Yiu.

Ten men and two women finalists climbed the 14-metre-tall bun tower and had three minutes to snatch as many buns as they could for the highest scores.

Teams from Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Macau competed in an invitation relay against teams from Cheung Chau.

The Guangzhou team was victorious while the Shenzhen Mountaineering and Outdoor Sports Association was the first runner-up. The second runner-up was the Spirit Sports Association.
